“It was a day for the record books,” said Valerie Barnes, SAMC Foundation executive director. “We can’t say thank you enough to everyone who joined us to make Saturday’s event such a huge success,” she added. Over the past five years, the event has raised some $450,000 to advance breast cancer services and programs offered by SAMC.
Proceeds from Champions of Hope benefit the Southeast Alabama Regional Screening Program as well as new diagnostic technology and services that enhance the patient experience.
