Proceeds Raised for Champions of Hope Thanks to everyone who attended Champions of Hope’s first pre-race pasta night at the SAMC Foundation. It was held on Friday, October 14th and was well attended by survivors, race participants and community supporters.

Special thanks to Laura Thompson, cancer survivor and SAMC Foundation supporter, who donated a hand-made fleece tie blanket. Tickets were sold through the Southeast Cancer Center and funds were raised for this year’s Champions of Hope. Thank you Laura!
SAMC Foundation Volunteer of the Year, FEAB of the Year & Trustee of the Year Honored…The SAMC Foundation’s top volunteer honors were bestowed in August during the Board of Trustees annual strategic planning dinner at the Dothan Country Club. Each year the Foundation gives out three special recognition awards to individuals who go above and beyond in their support of the organization’s mission.

The SAMC Foundation’s Fall issue of “The Contributor” is dedicated to Sandi McCool a Medical Center Foundation volunteer who lost her seven-year battle with breast cancer November 23.
